Plot Summary
In Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), the stakes for Peter Parker (Tom Holland) are higher than ever after the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019). His secret identity as Spider-Man is exposed to the world, leading to a whirlwind of personal and public consequences. Desperate to return to a normal life, Peter seeks out Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help. He asks the Sorcerer Supreme to cast a spell that will erase everyone’s memory of him being Spider-Man, allowing him to go back to a more peaceful existence.
However, things go horribly wrong during the spell, and the multiverse is unleashed, causing villains from alternate realities to enter Peter’s world. Among the villains are some of the most iconic from Spider-Man’s past, including Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), and Electro (Jamie Foxx). These villains wreak havoc in Peter’s reality, forcing him to confront the consequences of his actions and his decisions.
In an effort to stop the chaos, Peter teams up with the Spider-Men of alternate universes—Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man—to set things right. Together, they work to stop the villains and prevent the multiverse from collapsing, all while dealing with the emotional burden of the choices they must make.
