The story picks up after Thor: Love and Thunder, with Thor raising his adoptive daughter, Love, while continuing his journey as a cosmic protector. Olympus is still reeling from Thor’s encounter with Zeus, and the Greek gods demand justice. Hercules, tasked by Zeus, embarks on a mission to hunt Thor and restore Olympus’s honor.
Meanwhile, a new threat emerges in the form of Amatsu-Mikaboshi, the Chaos King, an ancient god of darkness and destruction. The Chaos King begins annihilating pantheons across the multiverse, absorbing their power to remake reality in his image. This forces an uneasy alliance between Asgard and Olympus, with Thor and Hercules reluctantly joining forces.
The movie features epic battles, including a showdown between Thor and Hercules in the ruins of an ancient celestial arena. Their fight ends in mutual respect when they realize the Chaos King is manipulating them. Together, they rally gods from other pantheons, including Bast, Khonshu, and even the Celestials, to stop the Chaos King’s march toward total domination.
The climax sees Thor wielding Mjolnir and Stormbreaker alongside Hercules’ enchanted mace to channel divine energies into the Chaos King’s core. Love plays a pivotal role, using her newfound cosmic abilities to protect Asgard.
In the aftermath, Thor and Hercules forge a truce between their realms, and Love begins training under both Asgardian and Olympian guidance. The film ends with a cryptic hint of a new cosmic threat, teasing the future of the MCU.
