Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)

Set in the 18th-century Caribbean, The Curse of the Black Pearl is a thrilling tale of swashbuckling adventure, mysterious curses, and daring heroism. The story begins with the eccentric and cunning pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, arriving in the bustling port of Port Royal to commandeer a ship. His plans are interrupted when the town is attacked by the feared Black Pearl, a ghostly pirate ship led by the ruthless Captain Hector Barbossa.
During the raid, Barbossa and his crew abduct Elizabeth Swann, the governor’s spirited daughter, who possesses a medallion tied to an ancient Aztec curse. The medallion holds the key to lifting the curse that has doomed Barbossa and his crew to an eternal undead existence under the moonlight.
Will Turner, a blacksmith secretly in love with Elizabeth, teams up with Jack Sparrow to pursue the Black Pearl and rescue her. Will is unaware that his own heritage is deeply entwined with the curse and the medallion. Their perilous journey across treacherous waters brings them face-to-face with Barbossa’s cursed crew, revealing Jack’s personal vendetta against Barbossa for stealing his ship and marooning him years prior.
