Bond discovers that Janus is Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean), a former MI6 agent and Bond’s onetime friend, who seeks revenge against Britain for a decades-old betrayal. With the help of Russian computer programmer Natalya Simonova (Izabella Scorupco), Bond races against time to stop Trevelyan’s plan to use GoldenEye to wreak havoc and plunge the world into chaos.
