Plot Summary
Years after the outbreak that devastated Korea, the world has changed. The zombie virus has evolved, and safe zones are now under siege. Survivors live in militarized fortresses, while the undead roam freely beyond the walls.
As one of the last strongholds, Busan is no longer safe. A new, highly intelligent variant of zombies has emerged, threatening to wipe out the remaining survivors. When the military announces a final evacuation mission, only one option remains: a high-speed train heading to the last safe zone in the North.
Jung Seok (Ma Dong-seok), a battle-hardened survivor, joins the mission to escort civilians and defend the train at all costs. But when an ambush derails their escape, they realize something far worse than zombies is at playβa ruthless mercenary group, led by the mysterious Colonel Han (Lee Jung-jae), seeks to control the last survivors for their own twisted agenda.
With time running out, hordes of evolved zombies closing in, and betrayal within their ranks, the passengers must fight their way through one final, desperate journey. The tracks are broken, the dead are smarter, and not everyone will make it to the end.
The question remains: Can humanity outrun extinction?
