Plot Summary

Dylan Forrester (Scott Eastwood) is no ordinary ex-con. A former dangerous assassin, he’s trying to live a quiet, reformed life, staying under the radar with the help of his psychiatrist, Dr. Alderwood (Mel Gibson), and a steady dose of medication. But when his brother suddenly dies under mysterious circumstances, Dylan sets out to uncover the truth—even if it means breaking parole and unleashing his old skills once again.

Traveling to a remote island for his brother’s funeral, Dylan quickly realizes something is terribly wrong. A group of ruthless mercenaries, led by the brutal and sadistic Cole (Kevin Durand), has taken control of the island, searching for a hidden treasure linked to his brother’s past.

As the FBI, led by Agent Shaughnessy (Famke Janssen), closes in on Dylan, believing he’s up to no good, he’s forced to face his dark past and embrace his lethal instincts. With his back against the wall, he must take on the mercenaries one by one, using his tactical training, intelligence, and brute force to survive.
