Plot Overview

In Sinister (2012), true-crime writer Ellison Oswalt (Ethan Hawke) moves his family into a new home, unknowingly choosing a house where a horrific murder took place. His goal? To uncover the truth and write his next best-selling novel.

While exploring the attic, he stumbles upon a box filled with old Super 8 home movies, each depicting a gruesome family murder. As he digs deeper, he realizes these killings are connected—and something far more sinister is at play.
