Plot Summary

Set in modern-day Egypt, The Mummy: Resurrection (2025) follows Dr. James Calloway (Tom Hardy), an ambitious archaeologist who stumbles upon a forgotten tomb hidden deep beneath the Sahara. But when he and his team uncover a mysterious sarcophagus sealed with an unbreakable curse, they unknowingly awaken Queen Neferet (Sofia Boutella), a long-lost ruler of Egypt who was betrayed and buried alive centuries ago.

Unlike any mummy before her, Neferet is no mindless creature—she is a vengeful sorceress with the power to bend reality, summon the dead, and bring darkness upon the world. As chaos erupts, Evelyn Carter (Anya Taylor-Joy), an Egyptologist with ties to a secret organization, warns Calloway that Neferet’s resurrection was foretold in an ancient prophecy. If she is not stopped, her reign will plunge the world into an age of terror.

With time running out, Calloway and Carter must join forces with Dr. Henry Jekyll (Russell Crowe) and an elite team of relic hunters to uncover the secrets of Neferet’s past and find the one artifact capable of sealing her away before it’s too late.
