Plot Summary

In a post-apocalyptic world, mercy is a crime, and compassion is punishable by death. Society is ruled by a fanatical cult known as The Covenant, led by the ruthless High Priest (Bill Skarsgård). Their law is simple: Kill or be killed. Show mercy, and you die.

But when Azrael (Samara Weaving), a feared executioner for The Covenant, makes a single mistake—she spares a life—she is branded a traitor and hunted by the very people she once served.

With nowhere to run, Azrael joins forces with Lila (Florence Pugh), a defiant survivor who has uncovered a secret that could bring down The Covenant once and for all. As they fight for survival, they must navigate a world of ritualistic killings, underground resistance, and ancient prophecies that hint at Azrael’s true destiny.

But the High Priest will not let her escape so easily. He sends his most brutal enforcer (Cillian Murphy) to track her down, leading to a final confrontation that will determine the fate of the last remnants of humanity.
