Shooter (2007)

Shooter (2007) is an action thriller film directed by Antoine Fuqua, based on the novel Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter. The film stars Mark Wahlberg as a skilled marksman who is framed for a conspiracy involving an assassination plot.
The story follows Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg), a former Marine sniper who is living in seclusion after being disillusioned by his experiences in the military. Swagger is recruited by a mysterious government official, Colonel Isaac Johnson (Danny Glover), to help prevent an assassination attempt on the President of the United States.
After Swagger uses his expert skills to analyze potential sniper locations, the assassination goes ahead, and he is framed for the crime. With the law on his tail and a conspiracy unfolding around him, Swagger embarks on a quest to clear his name and expose the truth. He teams up with Julie Estelle (Kate Mara), a young woman who becomes an ally in his fight against powerful adversaries.
