The Chronicles of Narnia (2025)

Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia, directed by Greta Gerwig, is slated to be a fresh take on the beloved C.S. Lewis books. Gerwig, known for her recent success with Barbie (2023), has signed on to direct at least two films for the franchise. However, production is expected to begin either in late 2024 or early 2025, which means the earliest release date could be in 2026.
The first movie is widely speculated to adapt The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, much like previous film versions. This is seen as a natural starting point since it introduces the world of Narnia to audiences. The plot follows four siblings who stumble into the magical world through a wardrobe and team up with Aslan to defeat the White Witch.

Gerwig has expressed excitement and some fear over the project, stating that the complexity and scale of the Narnia stories make them both thrilling and challenging to bring to life
