Plot Summary
Star Wars: New Jedi Order (2026) takes place 15 years after the defeat of Emperor Palpatine and the fall of the Final Order. Rey Skywalker has begun rebuilding the Jedi Order — but in a galaxy still fractured by war and mistrust, peace is a fragile illusion.
When a mysterious force known as the “Shadow Core” rises from the Unknown Regions, threatening to plunge the galaxy into chaos, Rey must train a new generation of Jedi to defend hope and restore balance. Among them is Kira Vonn, a powerful Force-sensitive orphan with a hidden connection to the past.
As ancient Sith relics resurface and political alliances crumble, Rey and her students must face the ultimate question: Can the Jedi evolve, or are they doomed to repeat the failures of their past?

Reception & Buzz
Early reactions call New Jedi Order “the boldest Star Wars entry since The Last Jedi,” with a mature tone, deep moral questions, and a fresh cast of characters. Daisy Ridley returns with a more seasoned, conflicted Rey, while newcomer Amandla Stenberg is praised as the breakout star.
Long-time fans are intrigued by the film’s exploration of gray morality in the Jedi path, while new audiences are welcomed with a clean narrative arc. The Force is no longer just light vs dark — it’s a test of legacy, purpose, and identity.
Conclusion
Star Wars: New Jedi Order (2026) marks a powerful rebirth for the franchise — a return to mythic storytelling with modern weight. If the Skywalker Saga was the past, this is the future.
A new order begins — but peace comes at a cost.
