Crawl (2019) is a survival horror film directed by Alexandre Aja. The story follows Haley Keller (Kaya Scodelario), a competitive swimmer, who rushes to check on her estranged father, Dave (Barry Pepper), during a Category 5 hurricane in Florida. When she arrives at his house, she discovers that he is trapped in the flooded basement, severely injured and unable to escape.
As the storm intensifies and the floodwaters rise, Haley and her father must fight for survival, not only against the rising water but also against a pack of aggressive alligators that have invaded the house. Trapped with no way out, they must use their wits and resourcefulness to evade the predators and escape the increasingly dangerous situation.
The film combines intense action, suspense, and horror as Haley and Dave struggle to survive in a deadly environment, facing both natural and animal threats. Crawl is a tense, edge-of-your-seat thriller that showcases the human instinct for survival in the face of overwhelming odds.
