The Wheel of Time (2021) is a high-fantasy television series based on the epic book series by Robert Jordan (and later completed by Brandon Sanderson). Developed by Rafe Judkins, the show premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2021 and is a sprawling tale of magic, prophecy, and destiny.
The series is set in a richly detailed world where the battle between Light and Dark is eternal. It follows Moiraine Damodred (Rosamund Pike), a member of the Aes Sedai—an organization of women wielding magical powers—on her journey to find the Dragon Reborn, a prophesied figure destined to either save or destroy the world. Alongside her is a group of young villagers: Rand al’Thor, Egwene al’Vere, Perrin Aybara, Mat Cauthon, and Nynaeve al’Meara, each with a critical role to play in the unfolding events.
