Determined to rebuild his life, Ross reopens the family mine and marries Demelza, a spirited young woman from a humble background. The series delves into themes of love, class struggle, and societal challenges in 18th-century England.
Winston Graham, an English novelist, penned the “Poldark” series between 1945 and 2002, comprising twelve novels. The books gained significant popularity, leading to two television adaptations: the original in the 1970s and the more recent version in 2015. The latter received critical acclaim for its storytelling, character development, and historical authenticity.
