Plot Summary

Four years after the events of Peninsula, South Korea remains a quarantined wasteland overrun by the undead. Survivors live in hidden strongholds, while ruthless mercenaries control the streets, preying on the weak. But a new glimmer of hope emerges—an underground movement has discovered a possible cure hidden deep within the ruins of Busan.

Jung-seok (Ma Dong-seok), a hardened survivor, is reluctantly pulled into a desperate mission to retrieve the cure. Accompanied by Hyun-woo (Park Seo-joon), a former soldier seeking redemption, and Ji-eun (Kim Da-mi), a scientist who believes the cure is humanity’s last chance, they embark on one final journey—back into the heart of the infected zone.

But the undead aren’t their only threat. A brutal faction led by General Choi (Lee Byung-hun) will stop at nothing to seize the cure for themselves. As chaos erupts, the group must fight their way through relentless zombie hordes, treacherous humans, and their own past mistakes.
