When Hannah leaves for a six-week work trip to Scotland, Tom realizes how much he misses her and decides that he wants to take their relationship to the next level. However, his plans are crushed when Hannah returns engaged to a wealthy and handsome Scotsman named Colin (Kevin McKidd). She asks Tom to be her “maid of honor,” and he reluctantly accepts, determined to sabotage the wedding and win her over.

As Tom participates in the wedding festivities, he struggles to prove that he is a better match for Hannah than Colin.
