Plot Summary

In the blood-soaked past of ancient Māori tribes, a devastating curse has turned warriors into relentless undead beasts, roaming the land in an endless hunt for flesh. Waka (Cliff Curtis), a disgraced chief, and Hine (Thomasin McKenzie), a young woman with visions of the afterlife, must journey across their devastated homeland to reach the sacred mountain, where the gods may offer salvation.
