Set in a post-apocalyptic Australia ravaged by a mysteriou
s virus, Cargo follows Andy (Martin Freeman), a desperate father searching for safety for his infant daughter, Rosie. The world has collapsed into chaos as a deadly infection turns people into ravenous creatures within 48 hours of being bitten.
Andy, along with his wife Kay (Susie Porter), and their baby, navigates the isolated Australian Outback in hopes of finding a secure refuge. However, tragedy strikes when Kay is infected, leaving Andy alone to care for Rosie. Soon after, he too falls victim to the virusβgiving him only two days to find a new guardian for his daughter before he turns into one of the infected.
His journey leads him to Thoomi (Simone Landers), a young Aboriginal girl trying to save her own infected father.
