Plot Summary

Set in the eerie 1990s, The Turning follows Kate Mandell, a young governess who takes a job caring for two orphaned children, Miles and Flora Fairchild, at a vast, isolated estate in Maine. What seems like a simple nannying job soon spirals into a psychological nightmare as she begins to witness bizarre occurrences and supernatural events.
