Plot Summary
Set in the 8th century, Redbad tells the story of a Frisian prince who is betrayed and left for dead during a sacred ritual. Surviving against all odds, Redbad finds refuge with the Vikings, where he grows stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever. When he returns to his homeland, he discovers it under siege by the Christian Franks, who are spreading their faith with fire and sword.
Fueled by his desire to protect his people and their pagan traditions, Redbad rises to unite the fractured tribes against the oppressive force of conversion.
