Brotherhood of the Wolf (Le Pacte des Loups) is a French historical action-horror film released in 2001, directed by Christophe Gans. The film is loosely inspired by the true events of the Beast of Gévaudan, a series of killings that occurred in France during the 18th century.
Set in the year 1764, the film follows Grégoire de Fronsac (played by Samuel Le Bihan), a nobleman and naturalist, who is sent to investigate a series of mysterious and brutal murders in the region of Gévaudan.
