Brotherhood of the Wolf (Le Pacte des Loups) is a French historical horror film released in 2001, directed by Christophe Gans. The film is loosely based on the true story of the Beast of Gévaudan, a series of killings that took place in France during the 18th century.
Set in 1764, the story follows a nobleman, Grégoire de Fronsac (played by Samuel Le Bihan), who is sent to investigate a series of mysterious and brutal killings in the region of Gévaudan. Accompanied by his Iroquois friend, Mani (played by Mark Dacascos), Fronsac uncovers a dark conspiracy involving the local nobility and the supernatural. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they face a deadly creature that has terrorized the countryside.
