Armored (2009) is a crime thriller directed by Nimród Antal and stars Matt Dillon, Jean Reno, Laurence Fishburne, and Columbus Short. The film focuses on a group of armored truck security guards who plan to steal millions of dollars from their own company during a routine cash transport.
Ty Hackett (Columbus Short) is a young, newly-hired guard at Eagle Shield Security, struggling with financial difficulties after the death of his parents. He’s trying to care for his younger brother, but when his colleagues, led by Mike Cochrane (Matt Dillon), propose a plan to steal $42 million from their own armored truck company, Ty is conflicted. Mike convinces Ty that no one will get hurt and that the theft can be carried out without violence.
However, the heist quickly goes wrong when an innocent witness accidentally gets involved, and tensions rise among the crew. As the situation spirals out of control, Ty must decide whether to stick with the plan or stand up for what’s right, even if it means risking his own life.
